Recently I entered into a challenge with WWF (World Wildlife Fund) to match as many icons on their 50th anniversary 50p coin as I could.
I thought this was a great opportunity to support WWF and display my photography. For full details about my entry visit https://www.designack.com/blog/wwf-photo-challenge/.
I expected not to win as I only managed to find 33 of the 50 images from the coin and was sure someone else would find more images to match, which they did. However, what I wasn’t expecting was to find out a few days later that I was the proud winner of the ‘Best Photo’ in the WWF 50th Anniversary 50p coin challenge. The winning photo (pictured above) was linked the ‘moon’ icon on the coin and was taken during a fireworks display in London. I chose this image as part of my submission for its air of difference in the position of the moon, situation of fireworks, colours and lighting.
I felt honoured and amazed to win ‘best photo’, winning a Royal Mint 50p WWF Anniversary coin that has the 50 icons on it representing the work that WWF does. I would like to say a big thank you to WWF UK and would encourage anyone who reads this post to check out the amazing work that WWF does for animals and conservation. Keep up the fantastic work!
