Designing websites for users
Presentation given at the conference ‘WordCamp Auckland’ given to an array of website and WordPress enthusiast at the Grid Auckland in March 2017.
All too often we go from client’s needs to designing and developing websites, why don’t we consider changing our thinking and considering the user first? After all, they are the ones using the site the most right? In this presentation I discuss the basics of creating user personas so we know who is using our websites. I also discuss user journey mapping, navigation, layout, imagery and content, fonts, responsiveness and accessibility.
