As the London 2012 Paralympics now draws to a close, I have a special treat of a variety of Mascots have have been positioned around London to share. Over the course of two days my camera and I trekked around six routes from side roads in the City to green pastures of Regents Park, the multi-cultural East End and a few routes around the river Thames.
I hope that these bring inspiration anyone interested in design and art that view this website and a smile to all, showing that the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Mascots, Wenlock and Manderville have been here to add a bit of colour and character to parts of London that didn’t necessarily feature in the Olympics.
Lastly, let me say a big thank you to all the organisers of London 2012 and all those who contributed their artwork on these mascots. They were a brilliant excuse to get out and see more of London, while being on a mission to spot as many as possible.
