Photography

Photography is one of my greatest passions. I started getting serious with darkroom black and white film photography in 2001, learning the strength of composing. As I moved into digital in 2006 I found it provided flexibility and creativity to allow me to continue to strive for that perfect shot.

I can be found travelling on a regular basis throughout Europe, the United Kingdom and even Africa. I love travel photography, shooting landscapes and culture at its most unique. I’ve had my work published in magazines such as ‘Inspire’, a travel magazine that was published in New Zealand.

• Travel

  

  Ngaire travels far and wide. This is a selection of images throughout Europe, Asia and New Zealand.

• Abstract

  

  Abstract photography is where Ngaire lets loose and gets really creative. One of her earliest attractions to photography was photographing something to make the viewer see it from a new perspective.

• Nature & Wildlife

  

  This is more specific nature than travel landscapes. Includes wildlife, flora and fauna.

• People

  

  Photographing people is never easy. Ngaire tries to capture those special moments and unique cultures in her portrait photography.

• Narratives Space

  

  This body of work is from my Honours exhibition based on my thesis of 'Narratives in Still Photography without text'. Each piece demonstrates a different narrative.

• Projects

  

  Photographic projects that I have created myself, little pieces of work that are of interest or personal projects that I have been involved with.
