Graffiti in Granada

Walking around the streets of Granada in Spain, you could forget that you’re out of the East End of London if it wasn’t for the heat and blue skies. Britain has Bansky, and Granada’s answer to Banky is graffiti artist El Niño de las Pinturas. Gone are the days where all the graffiti that we see is tagging around European cities, these days you can come across some incredible works of art by just wandering around streets such as those in Granada.

Most of the photographs of the graffiti below are of El Niño de las Pinturas’s work. Incredible as it is in colour photography, try to imagine these works of art up-close on the side of a building, wall or fence. The colour, strokes and subject matter all have a very unique personality popping up all over the city, working around the objects in the street or wall.
